Red Shoes Inc., a full-service marketing and public relations firm that specializes in strategic communication, has hired Tracy Carpenter as its new business manager and Katie Much as an account coordinator. The company also promoted Katie Thao to creative specialist.

As business manager, Carpenter supports Red Shoes operations in accounts payable and receivable and manages human resources. She brings more than eight years of experience in a variety of business roles including finance, sales and business development. Carpenter also volunteers with several organizations including Habitat for Humanity, Renaissance Assisted Living and Saving Paws. She holds a bachelor’s degree in human services and business administration from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. 

As an account coordinator, Much supports client teams through writing, editing, managing organic and paid social media efforts and conducting research to strengthen marketing initiatives. She brings nine years of communication experience to Red Shoes. In previous roles, Much largely focused on crafting and sharing meaningful stories, first in her career in community journalism and in her role at a large nonprofit where her copywriting capabilities served a variety of functions. Much holds a bachelor’s degree in communication from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay.

In Thao’s new position as creative specialist, she is responsible for developing, enhancing and implementing creative content strategies for Red Shoes Inc. and its clients. Her work includes concept ideation, writing, graphic design and social media management. Thao has more than six years of strategic social media experience and has already been playing a major role in supporting clients’ creative campaigns during her time at Red Shoes. Thao has a bachelor’s degree in history and psychology from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh.
