The Exclusive Content Strategy category recognizes the best in the public relations business of providing exclusive stories to media outlets through strategic outreach that resulted in national coverage.

Organized by PR Daily, the Media Relations Awards program is a distinguished award program, recognizing excellence in media relations and strategic communication nationwide. This accolade is a testament to Red Shoes’ commitment to innovative, impactful and effective media relations campaigns.

Finalists in this year’s program were honored at a special industry event on Friday, Dec. 15, at the prestigious National Press Club in Washington, D.C., where category winners were also revealed.

Red Shoes’ Fox Cities Marathon Exclusive Pitch Campaign stood out among a diverse range of entries, showcasing excellence, creativity and strategic thinking in the Exclusive Content Strategy category. The judges recognized Red Shoes’ unique pitching strategy of the story of a young boy in a wheelchair who was running his first half-marathon with his grandfather and father. After pitching the story exclusively to the local network TV media sponsor of this event, the story gained national attention, ultimately ending with the boy receiving a racing wheelchair, training with local track coaches and wheelchair training equipment. Overall, Red Shoes delivered an exceptional campaign that showcased the power of effective public relations and had a meaningful impact on the Fox Cities Marathon and one of its participants.
